RiverDogs Fans to Vote on Park Icon for Bobblehead

CHARLESTON, SC- The Charleston RiverDogs are holding a ballpark icon bobblehead giveaway this season.

Starting with the home opener on April 7 fans, can go online to www.riverdogs.com and at the ballpark and vote for their favorite ballpark personality which concludes on May 2. On Friday, August 23, the winner will be revealed and the bobblehead icon will be given away to the first 1,000 fans at The Joe. The nominees for this year's ballpark icon bobblehead are:

- Pat "Old Codger" Reddick: A Major League and South Atlantic League baseball historian and card collector. Pat, seen with his baseball/golf club walking stick, keeps fans entertained with stories from every baseball happening, regardless of the decade;

- Nate "The G-Man" Crowe: A former member of RiverDogs promotions staff, Nate earned his nickname from one of the more popular promotions -- The G-Men -- and is known for, among many things, his dance moves. He has been part of the RiverDogs staff for more than 10 years;

- Ken Carrington: The RiverDogs public address announcer since 2003, Ken is arguably the most well-known public address announcer in the SAL for his unique style of interacting with the fans during games. Ken is also a local celebrity, magician, musician, entertainer and television personality in the Southeast;

- Mr. William Washington: The most recognized season ticket holder at The Joe. He had a children's book written about him called, The Baseball Elf.

- Ken "The Beer Man": The longest standing beer vendor at The Joe and is perhaps the most popular person in the park on Thirsty Thursdays and extremely hot games.

The RiverDogs encourage fans to go online and vote for the icon they'd like to see made into a bobblehead.
