
River Otters Add Jim Duhart

St. Charles, MO --- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League have agreed to terms with Jim Duhart, a right winger who has scored at least 30 goals in his last nine professional seasons. He will wear number 91 for the River Otters and is expected to make his debut Friday night against Quad City.
"Jim is a power forward who is a proven goal scorer in this league," River Otters Head Coach Kevin Kaminski said. "He is a physical player who we expect to help our team in all facets of the game."
Duhart, 34, played five seasons with the Flint Generals from 2000-2005, scoring 211 goals and 175 assists in 321 games. The Ottawa-native is entering his 14th professional season and has potted 469 goals, dished out 425 assists, amassing 2,323 penalty minutes in 859 career games. The 5'10'', 200-lb winger has scored at least 30 goals in his last nine seasons, including 50 goals in 1997-98 with the Madison Monsters (UHL) and 52 goals in 2001-02 with the Generals.
Duhart led Flint to a 2000 Colonial Cup Championship sweep of the Quad City Mallards, finishing first among all UHL players with 10 playoff goals. He ranks first all-time among UHL players with 781 games played and 2,971 shots on goal. Duhart ranks all-time among UHL players third in goals with 428, fifth in points with 815, ninth in assists with 387, third in power play goals with 146, and second in penalty minutes with 2,117.
