Countdown to Face-Off
December 1, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Tonight is the first of two games this year between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Elmira Jackals. This will be the lone appearance for the K-Wings in the First Arena. Elmira will play in Wings Stadium in March during the K-Wings' 25th Annual World Famous Green Ice Game.
After two straight victories, the K-Wings once again find themselves in a tie for first place in the UHL's Central Division. Kalamazoo's two-game winning streak isn't the only streak on the line tonight. K-Wing forward Tyler Rennette will be looking to extend his four-game point and assist streak.
Elmira will be looking to snap a six-game winless streak. The Jackals in their last six-games have accumulated a record of 0-3-3. Despite their recent woes, forward Jarrett Konkle has found ways to help his team. Konkle has scored a goal in each of his last three games.
