River Cats Top Rainiers With Late Inning Rally

West Sacramento - The Sacramento River Cats came from behind to defeat the Tacoma Rainiers, 2-1, on Friday night at Raley Field. Sacramento trailed in the game, 1-0, entering the 8th, when Keith Ginter's RBI ground-out scored Nate Espy to tie the game. An inning later, Espy's bases loaded single scored John Baker to give the Cats the 'walk-off' victory. Sacramento starter Victor Moreno pitched well (6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 7 K) but did not factor in the decision while reliever Matt Roney earned the win, his second of the season, in relief. Ginter, Espy and Scott McClain each had 2 hits on the night to lead the Sacramento offense.
