The Sacramento River Cats (88-48) extended their home winning streak to 13 games with a 7-1 victory over the Tucson Sidewinders (69-67) on Sunday at Raley Field. LHP John Rheinecker (2-0) earned the win, allowing no runs on 5 H in 6.2 IP. SS Bobby Crosby and 3B Luis Lopez led the Cats' offense. Crosby went 1-for-3 and gave the River Cats an early lead with a two-run home run in the first inning. Lopez finished the game with 2 H, including a two-run homer in the eighth inning.
The River Cats have won their last six games and are just two wins shy of matching the club record for wins in a season (90 wins, 2000).
