WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The River Cats swept the Round Rock Express in the 2-1 victory on Tuesday night at Raley Field.

In the third inning, Jim Adduci's sacrifice fly scored Jared Hoying, giving the Express their only run of the game as the 2-1 loss was eventually charged to the Express starter Evan Meek (5-7, 3.80 ERA).

The River Cats capitalized in the fourth inning from a Michael Taylor double to right-center field, scoring Jemile Weeks and Shane Peterson, giving the River Cats the lead.

River Cats starter Arnold Leon (3-2, 4.15 ERA) picked up the win, allowing one run on six hits in 7.0 innings of work, while righty Brian Gordon added his 13th save on the season. Taylor went 1-for-3 with a two-RBI double, producing his 68th and 69th RBI.

This was the only matchup between the Express and the River Cats this season. Sacramento now has an all-time record of 21-18 against Round Rock.

With the Las Vegas 51s losing to the Memphis Redbirds, the River Cats are now leading the Pacific Southern Division by one game.

The River Cats finished their four-game series against the Express and will go on the road, when left-hander Tommy Milone (0-0, No ERA) will take on lefty Danny Duffy (3-0, 4.21 ERA) of the Omaha Storm Chasers at Werner Park at 5:05 p.m. on Thursday night.
