
River Cats Clinch PCL South Division With Win

Sacramento River Cats News Release
The Sacramento River Cats (84-48) clinched the PCL South Division on Wednesday with a 9-1 win over the Las Vegas 51s (70-60). RHP Erik Hiljus (11-8) earned the win, allowing just 1 ER on 5 H in 9.0 IP. 1B Graham Koonce led the Cats' offense, going 2-for-4 with 1 R and 5 RBI (1 HR). SS Bobby Crosby went 2-for-5 with 1 R and 4 RBI in the game.
In addition to clinching their division and securing a playoff spot with the win, Sacramento improved to a season-best 36 games above .500. This season marks the third PCL South Division title for the River Cats during their four seasons in Sacramento.
