The Colorado Springs Sky Sox dropped a game out of first place with their 6-5 loss to the Omaha Royals on Wednesday night. The Sox took a 5-4 lead into the 9th inning. Brad Clontz blew the save when he allowed the tying run to score and Cam Esslinger lost the game in the 10th when he walked in the winning run with 1 out. Kit Pellow was a bright spot for the Sox crushing his 18th home run of the season, a grand slam in the 8th inning to take the lead. The Sox continue the series with Omaha Thursday night when Jesus Sanchez (2-0, 4.17) takes the hill for the Sox in game 3 against Brad Voyles (2-2, 3.19) of Omaha.
