Right Wing Joel Vermin Joins Crunch, Geoff Walker Assigned to Florida

Syracuse, NY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned right wing Joel Vermin (vuhr-MEEN) from SC Bern of the Swiss-A League to the Syracuse Crunch, Crunch General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today. BriseBois also announced that right wing Geoff Walker has been assigned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

Vermin, 22, has spent the last five seasons with SC Bern. Vermin finished the 2013-14 season with 18 points (6g, 12a). The Bern, Switzerland native skated in 177 total games with the club, posting 81 points (31g, 50a). Vermin was drafted by the Lightning in the seventh round, 186 overall, of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. The 5-foot-11, 192-pound forward is expected to be available when the Crunch travel to Rochester Wednesday.

Walker, 26, has appeared in 43 games for the Crunch this season posting eight points (6g, 2a). The 6-foot-3, 222-pound winger has appeared in 269 AHL games and recorded 116 total points (45g, 71a) with Manchester, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Lake Erie and Syracuse.
