JACKSONVILLE - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's contest with the Tennessee Smokies at Bragan Field.

Right-handed starter Robert Morey has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. It marks the first time in the 24-year-old's professional career that he has been promoted to the Triple-A level. In 19 starts for the Suns this season, the Virginia native compiled a 4-7 record and 4.83 ERA (54 ER in 100.2 IP).

The Suns roster stands at 24.

Jacksonville continues their ten-game homestand and is in search of their tenth straight win this evening as they square off with the Tennessee Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, in the third game of their five-game set. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at Bragan Field.
