Biscuits Hang On, Win Third-Straight

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -The Biscuits (57-56, 20-23) picked up their third-straight win by holding off a ninth inning-rally by the Chattanooga Lookouts (49-62, 14-27) in a 4-3 victory Sunday afternoon at Riverwalk Stadium.

Chattanooga entered the ninth inning trailing 4-1. Ozzie Martinez blooped a single to right to make it 4-2, followed by an RBI-single from Sean Burroughs to make it 4-3. With runners on first and second, Juan Sandoval struck out Jan Vazquez swinging to end the game and earn his 16th save of the season.

The Biscuits used the long ball in their third-straight win over Chattanooga. Kyeong Kang put the Biscuits on the board first with a two-run shot in the second inning. Kang added an RBI in the fourth inning. Todd Glaesmann hit a solo homer in the sixth inning to make it 4-1.

Michael Colla (5-2) shut down the Lookouts through seven innings for the win. The only run Colla allowed was from a solo home run by Jeremy Moore in the fourth inning to make it a 2-1 game. Colla scattered four hits with no strikeouts.

Game four in the series will be Monday night at 7:05. The Biscuits will have RHP Jake Thompson on the mound with the Lookouts starting RHP Zach Lee.
