
Ravis Promoted to AAA Louisville

RHP Josh Ravin has been promoted to Triple-A Louisville after spending parts of the last two seasons with the Blue Wahoos. Ravin, 25, was off to a strong start in the second half of the season, working scoreless outings in 9 of his last 10 appearances. He had lowered his ERA a run and a half since June 26. In 14 games during the second half of the season his ERA was 2.52 with 14 strikeouts against just 7 walks.
For the season, the hard throwing righty was 1-3 with a 5.58 ERA in 38 games over 40.1 innings. He struck out 39 and walked 27 holding opponents to a .286 batting average. Ravin is currently a member of the Reds 40-man roster and will be pitching in Triple-A for the first time since getting drafted in the 5th round out Chatsworth High School in California in 2006.
