
Riders Win Third Straight, Blow out San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Steele Walker collected four hits as the Frisco RoughRiders topped the San Antonio Missions 8-2 on Wednesday night.
With the game tied 1-1 in the third inning, Walker put the Riders (9-4) out in front 2-1 with an RBI single. Davis Wendzel then singled home Walker later in the inning and Frisco jumped out in front 3-1.
In the fourth, the RoughRiders blew the game open with four more runs. Jordan Procyshen smashed his first home run of the season, a two-run shot, to make it 5-1, before Walker added his second RBI single of the day to balloon the score to 6-1. Rangers rehabber Brock Holt then knocked in his first run of the rehab stint, plating a tally on an RBI groundout. Holt went 0-for-3 with an RBI.
Walker capped his huge night in the sixth with an RBI double to make it 8-1 and the Missions (6-8) put up a harmless run in the ninth before the Riders shut the door.
Fernery Ozuna (1-0) earned the win for Frisco in his one inning of relief while Osvaldo Hernandez (0-1) was saddled with the loss for San Antonio.
The RoughRiders continue their six-game series against San Antonio on Thursday, May 20 with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch for game three. RHP Cole Winn (0-0, 3.72) will start for the Riders while San Antonio will send LHP Aaron Leasher (0-1, 3.18) to the mound.
