Riders Trade with Omaha for Defenseman

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have added defenseman Cam Ginnetti in a trade with the Omaha Lancers. In exchange, the RoughRiders will send a 2019 Phase II 8th round draft choice. Ginnetti has played 17 games for Omaha this season and split time between Fargo and Omaha last season. The 6 ft. 200 lb. right-handed defenseman is a native of Vancouver, BC and is committed to Clarkson University.

"We are happy to have Cam join the RoughRiders," said Head Coach Mark Carlson. "His versatility, character and junior hockey experience will be a big plus for our team."

The RoughRiders also have placed forward Marek Valach on the injured reserve list.

The RoughRiders will host the rival Waterloo Black Hawks in a Dupaco Community Credit Union Cowbell Cup matchup on Saturday night, November 24th in their popular "Teddy Bear Toss" game sponsored by Bank of the West.
