Hawks Swap with Stampede

Waterloo, Iowa - Just in time for Thanksgiving, the Waterloo Black Hawks have added forward Matt Cameron from the Sioux Falls Stampede in exchange for Austen Swankler, the team announced Wednesday.

Both players are in their first United States Hockey League season.

Cameron has skated in 13 of 15 Stampede games during 2018/19. The native of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, scored his first USHL goal on October 5th during a road game against the Fargo Force. Cameron also has three assists and an even plus/minus differential. He is committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

His debut may come as soon as this evening.

Swankler skated in 15 games for Waterloo with a goal, six assists, and a -6 plus/minus mark.

The Black Hawks play on the road this evening versus the Sioux City Musketeers before Thursday's traditional Thanksgiving home game against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
