CORPUS CHRISTI - Frisco plated runs in four of the final six innings Saturday night, dispatching the Hooks, 7-4, before 6,553 fans at Whataburger Field.

Corpus Christi, aiming for a fourth consecutive win, struck first thanks to a two-run single off the bat of Joe Perez in the third.

Frisco answered in the fourth as Miguel Aparicio sent a three-run triple down the right field line, spelling an early exit for Hooks starter Adrian Chaidez.

Corpus Christi matched its season high with four errors, leading to unearned Frisco markers in the fifth and sixth.

Shay Whitcomb got one of the tallies back with a long home run over the berm in left to begin the sixth.

The RoughRiders sent eight men to bat in the ninth to ice the game with a pair of runs.

Grant Anderson, out of West Orange-Stark High School in Orange, TX, picked up the save for Frisco by retiring eight of the nine men he faced.

The Hooks, ahead in the set, 3-2, hope to win the series with a triumph on Sunday. Jayden Murray is slated to take the ball for CC in the 5:05 finale.
