May 6, 2016 - Texas League (TL1)
Frisco RoughRiders News Release
FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, will Paint the Park Pink and celebrate Mother's Day during the team's next homestand from May 7 through May 10. Beginning Saturday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark, the RoughRiders host the Midland RockHounds (Oakland Athletics) for four days in the club's third homestand of the season.
Highlighting the homestand is Paint the Park Pink Night on Saturday, May 7. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and match the players, who will be wearing pink on-field jerseys. The jerseys will then be auctioned off and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Assistance Center of Collin County, a non-profit organization that aims to remove the threat of eviction and utility disconnection for children and their families. The first 1,500 fans will receive a pink Riders t-shirt.
On Mother's Day this Sunday, May 8, the Riders will be giving away wristlets to the first 1,000 ladies, presented by Palm Breeze. Twenty ladies will be selected to participate in a Diamond Dig, presented by Palm Breeze, where they will literally dig on the infield looking for a hidden diamond ring. There is also a Mother's Day Dr Pepper 4 for 44 Fan Pack available, for just $44, that includes four tickets, four hot dogs, and four Dr Pepper products. This special offer is available online at www.ridersbaseball.com/dpfanpack.
