NOTES OF INTEREST
SPARKPLUG IN THE LINEUP: Drew Maggi has been everything manager Ryan Garko could ask for thus far this season, as the utility player has led the Drillers with a .304 batting average, collected a team-leading 4 stolen bases, while seeing time at shortstop, third base and left field.
ROOKIE DUO DELIVERING: After beginning the season at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, Brock Stewart and Trevor Oaks have both gotten their Double-A tenures off to great starts while helping stabilize the Drillers starting rotation. Stewart comes into the homestand with a 2.12 ERA over his first three starts while Oaks boasts a similar 2.25 ERA through his first two appearances.
RECORD AGAINST OPPONENTS: The Drillers will get a chance to make up some ground during this homestand as they will face the top two squads in the North Division. Going into the week, the Drillers have a 44-46 record against the first place Cardinals while going 45-54 against the second place Travelers since 2010 when playing at ONEOK Field.
BEDLAM BASEBALL RETURNING: Directly following the final Drillers game of the homestand will be the highly anticipated Bedlam series between the OSU Cowboys and the OU Sooners. After playing Friday night's contest in Oklahoma City, the series will shift to ONEOK Field for the Saturday night and Sunday afternoon games. The Saturday night game will start at 7:30 PM with the Sunday game scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM.
