Riders Edge Wind Surge with Walk-Off Walk

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders overcame another one-run deficit against the Wichita Wind Surge, rallying for a 2-1 win in 10 innings at Riders Field. Frisco starter Cody Bradford tossed six innings of one-run baseball and struck out eight batters, while reliever Tim Brennan threw four scoreless innings and finished with five strikeouts in the win.

Brennan (6-3) earned the win with four innings of relief for Frisco (26-21, 62-54) and held the Wind Surge (31-17, 66-50) off the scoreboard down the stretch.

In the month of August, Bradford's tallied 30 strikeouts and allowed three walks in 23.2 innings for an earned run average of 1.52.

RoughRiders right fielder Aaron Zavala drove in the winning run with a walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10^th to give Frisco their second win of the week over Wichita. The Riders defeated the Wind Surge on Tuesday night, 4-3, also in 10 innings.

Center fielder Kellen Strahm finished with two of the four Riders hits, while Zavala and first baseman Blaine Crim also posted hits in the win.

Frisco and Wichita continue their six-game series from Riders Field Friday night with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch, as Riders RHP Zak Kent (1-3, 5.00 ERA) opposes Wind Surge LHP Kody Funderburk (8-4, 2.82 ERA).

Friday's game at Riders Field is scheduled to be followed with postgame fireworks, presented by North Texas Municipal Water District, as a part of Fireworks Friday.
