TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and the Bowie Baysox will meet in game two of a three-game series...The Flying Squirrels could not hold on to an early 2-0 lead as the Baysox rallied for three runs over the second and third innings to claim the series-opener 5-3 on Friday night at Prince George's Stadium.

TONIGHT'S STARTERS: Right-hander Craig Westcott gets the start in game two of the series for the Flying Squirrels...Received a no-decision in his last outing against Portland 8/15...Allowed four runs on nine hits in five innings...Struck out two batters and walked two...Gave up no runs and just two infield singles over his first three innings...Allowed four runs on seven hits in his final two innings...Allowed the first five batters to reach in the top of the fifth inning including a three-run home to Nate Spears...Recorded six fly outs and five ground outs...Threw 94 pitches, 62 strikes...Threw 49 pitches in the first three innings...Threw 45 pitches in his final two innings...Threw five pitches or more to nine of the 24 batters he faced...Has allowed 16 runs on 28 hits in 20 1/3 innings spanning his last four starts (7.08 ERA) and opponents are hitting .315 against him over that stretch...Is 16-1 with a 2.82 ERA (49 er/156.1 ip) in 35 games, 28 starts, as a pro...Team is 23-4 in his 27 career starts...Is 2-0 in two starts against the Baysox with a 2.08 ERA...Has allowed six runs, three earned, on 12 hits in 13 innings against Bowie while striking 12 and walking two.

LOSING GROUND: The Flying Squirrels have dropped four straight games for the first time since 7/10-7/16 and the sixth time overall this season...Richmond's longest losing streak of the season is five games which has occured three times, most recently 6/16-6/20...The club was swept for the fourth time this season as it lost all three games at New Britain 8/17-8/19...It was the first series sweep of the season for the Rock Cats...The club had won 10 of its previous 15 and went 4-0-1 over its previous five series prior to getting swept by New Britain.

RISING TIMPNER-TURE: Outfielder Clay Timpner belted a pair of home runs in last night's 5-3 loss at Bowie, his first career multi-homer game...The 27-year-old had hit 32 home runs over his previous 782 professional games...It was the fourth multi-homer game of the season for a Flying Squirrels batter...Thomas Neal hit two home runs 4/23 at Reading and blasted three long balls 6/26 at Erie while Roger Kieschnick hit a pair of home runs 5/12 at Bowie...In 16 games in August, Timpner is batting .345 (20-for-58) with a double, triple, two home runs, seven RBI, and seven runs scored...He has raised his average from .287 to .296, currently 11th-highest in the Eastern League.

BUILT FORD TOUGH: Outfielder Darren Ford has hits in each of his last six games, one game shy of matching his longest hit streak of the season...Over his last five contests the 24-year-old is 7-for-25 (.280) with a triple, home run, three RBI, and four runs scored... In 30 games since the Eastern League All-Star Game, Ford is batting .302 (38-for-126) with six doubles, four triples, a home run, 13 RBI, and 22 runs scored...He hit .233 (78-for-335) in 82 games prior to the All-Star break...He stole two bases on Friday night, marking the sixth time this season that he has stolen multiple bases in a game...Ford leads the Eastern League with nine triples and is second with 37 stolen bases.

THOMAS THE TRAIN: Outfielder Thomas Neal ranks third in the Eastern League in hits (137) and in doubles (36)...Since 6/1, Neal is batting .316 (85-for-269) in 70 games with 25 doubles, seven home runs, 37 RBI, and 45 runs scored...He has raised his batting average from .255 to .293 over that span.

UNBUCKLING THE BELT: In 118 games combined between Advanced-A San Jose and Double-A Richmond, first baseman Brandon Belt leads all of minor league baseball in batting average (.360), is second in on-base percentage (.459), is tied for fourth in RBI (97), and is fifth in slugging percentage (.619)...The 22-year-old is batting .435 (20-for-46) with runners in scoring position in 41 games with the Flying Squirrels and is hitting .398 (53-for-133) overall with runners in scoring position this season.

DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 149 double plays in 123 games including six on 5/7 in Harrisburg...The Flying Squirrels have not gone more than three games without a double play this season; however, Richmond has not turned a double play over its last three contests...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays turned.

CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: Richmond went 0-for-11 last night with runners in scoring position and the club is 3-for-25 (.120) with runners in scoring position over the last two games including stranding a combined 19 runners on base...Overall on the season, the Flying Squirrels are batting .233 (267-for-1146) with runners in scoring position...The club is batting .208 (16-for-77) with the bases loaded and is the only Eastern League team to have not hit a grand slam this season.
