TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Altoona Curve will meet in game three of a four-game series...The Flying Squirrels rallied from an early 1-0 hole and scored seven unanswered runs en route to a 7-1 win in game two of the series on Friday night at The Diamond.

TONIGHT'S STARTERS: Right-hander Mike MacDonald gets the start in game three of the series for the Flying Squirrels...Makes his first start since going on the Disabled List 5/7 with a hamstring injury...Last start came against Altoona 5/5...Received a no-decision after giving up two runs on six hits in five innings of work......Struck out five and walked none...Both runs allowed came in the first inning...Gave up three of the six hits in the first as well...Gave up just three hits over his final four frames...Retired the leadoff batter in four of his five innings on the mound...Threw 81 pitches, 57 strikes...Went three balls in the count to just one of the 21 batters he faced...Threw first-pitch strikes to 18 of the 21 batters he faced...Has received just seven runs of support in his six starts (1.17R/GS)...Is 0-for-7 with three strike outs and a walk at the plate this season...Ranks eighth in the Eastern League with a 2.70 ERA.

Right-hander Jared Hughes gets the nod in game three of the series for the Curve...Earned his Eastern League-leading sixth win after tossing a season-long seven against Harrisburg 5/10...Allowed one unearned run on five hits while striking out two and hitting two batters...Is 2-0 in two games, one start, against Richmond...Has allowed three runs on 11 hits in 9 1/3 innings against the Flying Squirrels while striking out nine and walking one...Came on in relief of Ross Ohlendorf and got the win 5/5...Appeared in 17 games including seven starts with Altoona in 2009, bouncing back from an early season injury...Went 1-6 with a 3.88 ERA with 36 strike outs and 16 walks in 46 1/3 innings of work...Was 0-2 with a 7.00 ERA in 10 relief appearances...Was 1-4 with a 1.91 ERA in his seven starts...Counting 2010, has spent parts of the last three seasons with Altoona including making six starts in his first stint with the Curve in 2008...Selected by Pittsburgh in the fourth round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft...Attended Cal State Long Beach.

THOMAS THE TRAIN: Outfielder Thomas Neal has hits in each of his last 10 games, his longest hitting streak of the season...Only Jackson Williams has had a longer streak for the Flying Squirrels (11 games)...The 22-year-old is 16-for-41 (.390) over his last 10 games with nine RBI and five runs scored...Neal has raised his batting average from .223 to .274 over the course of the streak...The California native leads the club with 11 multi-hit games...He has appeared in all 35 games for the Flying Squirrels this season including 31 games in left field and four games as the designated hitter...His four stolen bases this season are a new career-high...Neal stole 12 bases in 15 tries in the Arizona Fall League this past offseason.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME: Jackson Williams, who turned 24 yesterday, went 2-for-3 last night and collected his first multi-hit game since 4/20 against New Britain...Prior to last night, Williams was 3-for-41 (.073) with 18 strike outs and 10 walks in 16 games since his 11-game hit streak ended...The University of Oklahoma product saw his average tumble from .412 to .227 prior to last night's performance.

RISING WATER: Richmond is now a season-best nine games over .500 at 22-13...The club is the second team in the Eastern League to 22 wins...The Flying Squirrels are 21-7 over their last 28 games after starting the season 1-6...Richmond is 6-1-1 over its last eight series...The club climbed into first place for the first time this season yesterday after trailing by five games on April 17th.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE: Richmond improved to 13-3 at The Diamond after its 7-1 win over Altoona last night...The Flying Squirrels are the only team in the Eastern League to win 13 games at home and the club's .813 winning percentage at home is tops in the league.

MAKING THEIR PITCH: The Flying Squirrels' pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 2.58 ERA...The club has also allowed an Eastern League-low 98 runs...The 251 hits allowed by Richmond are second-fewest in the league (Trenton-230)...Richmond pitching leads the Eastern League with six shutouts.

DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 45 double plays in their first 35 games including six on 5/7 in Harrisburg...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays turned and has not gone more than two games without turning a double play.

ERROR MESSAGE: The Flying Squirrels have committed just 18 errors in their first 35 games...Richmond is tied with Trenton with the fewest errors committed in the Eastern League and currently leads the league with a .987 fielding percentage.

CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: The Flying Squirrels' 7-1 win over the Curve last night was the largest margin of victory this season...For the second night in a row, Richmond sent nine batters to the plate in an inning, matching a season-high.
