
Richardson Returns to Fort Wayne

After a 6 week stretch in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs, Jeremy Richardson will return to the NBA D-League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He will join the team in Sioux Falls this Saturday, February 2 as the Ants take on Central Division rivals the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Richardson, 6-7, 195-pounds, appeared in three games for the Grizzlies during his first Gatorade Call-Up averaging 4.7 minutes per game. He was waived by the Grizzlies on January 7th. He then received his Second Gatorade Call-Up of the season by the Spurs only 3 days later.
Richardson appeared in 5 games with the Spurs where he averaged 2 points per game. He got his first NBA start against the Charlotte Bobcats on January 21, where he saw 11 minutes of play. Richardson's second 10-day contract expired on Wednesday, January 30.
Before his departure, Richardson was averaging a D-League high 28.5 points, to go with 6.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 41.5 minutes during eight games for the Mad Ants. Richardson was named the D-League.com Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Dec. 3, 2007.
Richardson and the Mad Ants return to the Memorial Coliseum this Tuesday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m. to take on the Skyforce on their home turf.
