February 1, 2008 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
D-LEAGUE HEADS TO NEW ORLEANS: The second annual NBA Development League All-Star game presented by Spalding will take place during NBA All-Star Festivities on Center Court at Jam Session in New Orleans, LA on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 2:00 p.m. CST. The game will feature 20 D-Leaguers chosen by fans and coaches. New to the All-Star roster of events this year, the D-League will host Dream Factory Friday Night on Friday, Feb. 15 at 8:00 p.m. CST. Similar to NBA All-Star Saturday Night, Dream Factory Friday Night will consist of a three-point shootout, a dunk contest, and will also engage fans in an interactive game of Hot Shot with a Fan and a game of Horse.
COACHES CALL-UP: Mike Brown, who has four years of D-League coaching experience (two as the head coach of the Fayetteville Patriots and two as the assistant coach of the Roanoke Dazzle) has been hired as an assistant coach with the NBA's Chicago Bulls. Brown joins Ron Adams, Pete Myers, and Mike Wilhelm to round out Jim Boylan's coaching staff and becomes the 17th D-League coach to make the jump to the NBA ranks.
