RHP Smith Returns to Topes

RHP Steve Smith will rejoin the Isotopes today, May 5, from Ogden. The righty returns to Albuquerque after being sent to Ogden earlier this homestand on May 2.

Smith originally joined the Isotopes on April 6 and has appeared in six games from the bullpen this season. The former Lobo posted a 1-0 record with a 2.84 ERA (4ER/12.2IP), six strikeouts and five walks. The Michigan native made his Triple-A debut on April 7 at Isotopes Park tossing a scoreless third of an inning.

The Topes take on New Orleans in game three of a four-game set this afternoon with a 1:35 p.m. start for Cinco de Mayo at Isotopes Park. Three thousand fans will receive tortillas courtesy of Los Cuates and the fifth character in the Los Cuates Chili Pepper Race will be revealed today.
