ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - Zephyrs closer Chris Hatcher recorded the final six outs to extinguish a late Albuquerque rally to earn his league leading tenth save of the season. The Zephyrs defeated the Isotopes 6-5 in front of 13,305 on a windy evening at Isotopes Park.

Former Isotope Wilson Valdez pounded out four hits including a two RBI single in the second inning to give the Zephyrs a 2-1 lead. New Orleans extended the lead with a two out two RBI single from Matt Downs in the third inning.

The Z's added two runs in the fifth inning with a Koyie Hill sacrifice fly and Jordan Brown scored on a wild pitch to give the Zephyrs a 6-1 lead.

The Isotopes started the comeback in the bottom of the fifth inning. Tim Federowicz homered to make it 6-2. The Topes would score three in the seventh against the Zephyrs bullpen to make it 6-5.

The Topes would load the bases in the eighth inning but Chris Hatcher would hold the Topes down and strike out the side. He worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning to close out Albuquerque. Zephyr starter Duane Below earned the win, his second of the week. The Isotopes starter Angel Castro took the defeat.

The win snapped a four game road losing streak for the Zephyrs. The series is even at one.
