New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution today announced that it has traded forward Adam Cristman to the Kansas City Wizards in exchange for allocation money and the Wizards' natural third-round selection in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft.

The trade was completed within this morning's three-hour trading window ahead of the teams' 3 p.m. deadline to submit their 11-man protected lists for Wednesday's Expansion Draft, in which Seattle Sounders FC will chose 10 players from other teams to begin stocking its roster.

Cristman, 23, was originally selected by the Revolution in the fourth round (48th overall) of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft out of Virginia. In 46 career games, he scored 10 goals and added five assists. He was one of three finalists for the league's 2007 rookie of the year award.

The Glen Allen, Va., product scored six goals in 18 appearances in 2008, before missing the final three months of the season after undergoing season-ending surgery on his toe.

With the trade, the Revolution now has seven selections at the 2009 MLS SuperDraft, including two picks in the first round, two in the second and two in the third.
