D.C. United News Release
Washington, D.C. (November 24, 2008) - D.C. United and its charitable arm, United for D.C., will open its holiday auction on Wednesday, November 26 at dcunited.com. Soccer fans will be able to bid on exclusive items not available for purchase anywhere else, with proceeds going to United's charitable arm. The auction listings, which will close on Wednesday, December 10, provide the perfect opportunity to get a jump-start on holiday shopping while supporting United for D.C.'s many programs.
One special item up for bid is a D.C. United home game and field level VIP experience. This ultimate game-day experience includes a pre-game escort down to field level to watch warm-ups from the new VIP area and two tickets in the VIP seating area in the stands, putting you close to the action right behind the player benches. The VIP experience is not valid for the LA Galaxy game, international games, playoff games or any special competitions.
Other items up for bid are match-worn jerseys autographed by D.C. United's top stars, including Jaime Moreno, Louis Crayton, Clyde Simms and Devon McTavish. The auction will also include a Ski Package, a Jr. Captain Experience for a D.C. United game, an authentic MLS Ball signed by the team, and other MLS teams' autographed jerseys.
All proceeds raised from the holiday auction will benefit United for D.C. To see a full list of the items offered in this year's auction, or to place your bid, please visit dcunited.com.
