FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (3-8-4, 13 pts.) and D.C. United played to a 1-1 draw before a crowd of 20,131 at Gillette Stadium on Saturday evening. Revolution forward Juan Agudelo opened the scoring in the 61st minute - five minutes after goalkeeper Matt Turner was ejected for a red card - with a header inside of the near post, but D.C. United's Wayne Rooney equalized by converting a penalty kick in the 90th minute.

New England played the last 34 minutes of the match with 10 men after Turner was issued a straight red card for denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity on Rooney. Goalkeeper Brad Knighton entered the match and immediately made one of his two saves on the night, a diving effort to deny Rooney's free kick.

Only five minutes after Turner's ejection, Agudelo, making the 200th regular season appearance of his MLS career, responded with his third goal of the season, which was assisted by Cristian Penilla. The Revolution held on to the lead until D.C. United was awarded a penalty kick in the 90th minute after a video review showed Revolution defender Brandon Bye had committed a handball.

New England returns to action on Sunday, June 2, when the club visits LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park. That match kicks off at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston, 98.5 The Sports Hub, and in Portuguese on 1260 AM Nossa Radio.

Revs and D.C. United Play to 1-1 Draw

- The Revolution and D.C. United played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, moving the club's record to 3-8-4 (13 pts.) through 15 games of the 2019 MLS season.

New England's all-time record against the Black and Red moves to 27-34-13, including an 18-10-9 mark in games played in Foxborough.

New England's record under Interim Head Coach Mike Lapper now stands at 1-0-2.

Agudelo Scores Third Goal of 2019 in 200th Career Appearance

Forward Juan Agudelo scored the Revolution's lone goal in the 61st minute - five minutes after Matt Turner was ejected for a red card - with a headed shot inside of the near post.

Agudelo recorded his 200th career regular season MLS appearance in tonight's match. The nine-year veteran also spent time with the New York Red Bulls (2010-12) and Chivas USA (2012-13).

Agudelo now owns three goals on the season, which is tied with Juan Fernando Caicedo for second most on the Revolution. Both players trail Carles Gil by one goal for the team lead. All three of Agudelo's goals have come in the club's last six matches.

Farrell Eclipses Ralston for Fifth Most Minutes Played in Club History

- Defender Andrew Farrell surpassed Steve Ralston for the fifth most minutes played in Revolution history during tonight's contest. Farrell also tied Ralston for seventh most games played, having logged his 201st regular season appearance in a Revolution shirt.

- One of the league's most reliable players since entering the league as the first-overall pick in the 2013 MLS draft, Farrell currently leads all MLS outfield players in minutes (17,718) and games started (199), and ranks third in games played (201).

- With his next start, Farrell will become the eighth player in club history to reach 200 regular season starts.

Turner Issued Red Card; Will Serve One-Game Suspension on June 2

- Goalkeeper Matt Turner was issued his first career red card in the 56th minute, when he was ejected for denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity on D.C. United's Wayne Rooney. He was replaced by Brad Knighton for the remainder of the match.

- Turner will serve his one-game suspension during New England's next match at LA Galaxy on June 2.

- Turner is the first Revolution goalkeeper to be issued a red card since Brad Knighton, who was ejected in the 73rd minute on Oct. 16, 2016 at Chicago.

Revolution Starting XI Sees Two Changes

- The Revolution's starting lineup saw two changes from the team's match at Montreal on May 18, as DeJuan Jones and Tajon Buchanan replaced Edgar Castillo and Diego Fagundez.

- Today's match marked the team's third under Interim Head Coach Mike Lapper, who is serving in that capacity until Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena takes his post on the bench.
