Following a scoreless road draw last weekend at Philadelphia, Sounders FC (7-1-5, 26 points) continues its four-match road swing this Sunday, May 26 against Sporting Kansas City (2-4-5, 11 points) at Children's Mercy Park (3:00 p.m. PT / FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
Sunday's match is being broadcast nationally on FS1 and regionally on YouTube TV, featuring John Strong, Danielle Slaton and Katie Witham on the call. Sports Radio 950 KJR AM is carrying the contest, with Matt Johnson handling play-by-play and Kasey Keller on color commentary, in addition to Jackson Felts, Pete Fewing and Danny Jackson on pre-match, halftime and post-match duty. Fans in Western Washington can tune in to El Rey 1360 AM for a Spanish radio broadcast, featuring "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez, Felipe Maqueda and Carlos Tapia.
With 26 points in 2019, Sounders FC is tied for its best start through the first 13 games of a season in club history, and its one loss through 13 games is two fewer than any other season. Seattle is 9-5-4 all-time against SKC in regular-season play, including a 4-3-2 mark on the road.
Following Sunday's match, Brian Schmetzer's side continues its four-match road swing on Saturday, June 1 at FC Dallas (5:00 p.m. PT / JOEtv, YouTube TV, Univision-Seattle, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
