Today's Game: The Aces offense exploded for 13 runs on 16 hits Tuesday night and look to duplicate that effort again Wednesday against right-hander Luis Pena. The Aces will send southpaw Anthony Vasquez to the mound in game three. Vasquez enters tonight's contest with a record of 5-2.

Last Game: In game two against the Salt Lake Bees, the Reno Aces won by the score of 13-2. The Aces scored 13 runs on 16 hits and tallied eight extra-base hits. Offensively, the Aces were once again led by Yasmany Tomas who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, a double, and a home run. Starting pitcher Taylor Clarke picked up the win with 7.0 innings of two-run baseball. The right-hander allowed eight hits and added four strikeouts. The win improves the Aces to a record of 35-43 on the season, 11.5 games back of first place Fresno.

Clarke is Cookin': With the win last night, right-hander Taylor Clarke improved to 8-5 on the season and 6-0 in his last six starts. Since May 1st, Clarke is 7-1 and has allowed 18 earned runs in 60.0 IP. He has recorded 58 strikeouts and allowed just 48 hits. Clarke is tied for second place in the Pacific Coast League with eight wins, trailing only Memphis starter Dakota Hudson with 10.

Inch by Inch: Led by hitting coach Jason Camilli, the Aces offense has slowly climbed to the top five of the Pacific Coast League leaderboard. As a team, Reno is batting .277 (5th best in the PCL). They have scored 407 runs, recorded 79 home runs and hit 128 doubles. Their 748 hits are third most in the league and their 30 triples place third behind Salt Lake and Albuquerque.

All-Stars Are Coming: The Pacific Coast League will announce their All-Star roster tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. Three Reno Aces players represented the PCL All-Star team in Tacoma, Washington last season: Christian Walker, Ildemaro Vargas and Jimmie Sherfy. Walker went on to win the Pacific Coast League MVP award. This season, Socrates Brito has made a strong case for himself, leading the league in batting (.352). Additionally, Taylor Clarke (8 wins), Ildemaro Vargas (83 hits) and Joey Krehbiel (2-1, 2.41 ERA, 33.2 IP, 40 K) could find themselves in Columbus, Ohio this season.
