Today's Game: Socrates Brito and the Aces square off in game two of the five-game series tonight against the Sacramento River Cats. Brito was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Month - June this morning as voted by the PCL field managers. Jake Buchanan will get the start for Reno, looking to improve upon his 5-7 record in 2018.

Last Game: Independence Day baseball between the Reno Aces and Sacramento River Cats went in the favor of the home team, by a score of 10-5. The Aces scored 10 runs on 13 hits. 10,311 fans were greeted by an offensive showing from Kevin Cron, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and 3 RBI. Starting pitcher Matt Koch went 6.0 innings and allowed two runs on one hit. The win moves the Aces to a record of 39-47 on the season, 11.5 games back out of first place.

SOLD OUT: Last night's game was sold out! Greater Nevada Field welcomed 10,311 fans through the gates. Reno has had 48 total sellouts since 2009 and three this season. Reno also outdrew the Miami Marlins last night at Marlins Park who only had 7,572 fans in attendance. This is the fifth consecutive Fourth of July where Greater Nevada Field has hosted over 10,000 fans. Prior to last night, the last sellout came on June 2, 2018, vs. Las Vegas.

Game of Crons: Kevin Cron recorded his 15th multi-RBI game of the season last night thanks to two RBI-doubles. Cron has three games of 6+ RBI, two 4-RBI showings, three 3-RBI nights and seven 2-RBI contests. His 15 multi-RBI performances lead the Aces this season. Cron had 23 multi-RBi games last season with Double-A Jackson.

POW, Brito: A week after being named an All-Star, Reno Aces outfielder Socrates Brito has been voted by the League's field managers as Minor League Baseball's Pacific Coast League June Player of the Month. Brito, along with winners from other leagues, will be presented with an award from Minor League Baseball in recognition of his performance last month. Brito posted the highest slugging percentage (.902) and OPS (1.392) among full-season professional baseball players (Minor and Major Leagues) in June, while his 20 extra-base hits and 27 runs scored were the most in Minor League Baseball. In 22 games, Brito got on base at a .490 clip (47-for-96). His also hit .415 (34-for-82; 2nd), with 74 total bases (1st) and 10 doubles (t-3rd), totals that placed among the PCL's best last month. The Diamondbacks farmhand hit safely in his final 16 starts of the month, from June 11-29, nine of which featured multiple hit performances.
