Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Thursday evening's scheduled 6:40 p.m. contest between the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and the New Orleans Baby Cakes at Security Service Field has been postponed due to wet grounds from heavy rain and continued weather throughout the night. The game will be rescheduled as part of a double header tomorrow, July 6. Game one will begin at 4:30 p.m. MT and game two will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one and will be played as two, seven-inning contests. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. MT.

All tickets for the postponed game are considered rain checks and are good for any remaining 2018 regular season game excluding September 1 (Sky Fest). To exchange tickets, fans will need to present them at the Sky Sox ticket office.

Friday night at Security Service Field will feature the make-up of Fort Carson Appreciation Night with 1990's music themed postgame fireworks. The Sky Sox will also be continuing the "Cheers to 45 More Years" campaign as the team will debut and wear replica Colorado Springs Sky Sox Jerseys from the 1990's era in game two of the doubleheader, which will be auctioned off at the end of July at SkySoxJerseys.com.
