10 Straight for Nick: Sounds first baseman/outfielder Nick Martini has hit safely in 10 consecutive games. During the 10-game streak, he's hitting .350 (14-for-40) with 7 RBI, 5 runs, 1 home run, 1 triple, 1 double and 3 walks. Martini had a 21-game hitting streak from May 22 to June 19. Anthony Garcia is the only other Sounds player to post a 10+ game hitting streak this year when he hit safely in 11 straight games from June 8 to June 21.

Ramon's Red-Hot July: Outfielder Ramon Laureano has hit safely in all five games in the month of July. He's hitting .368 (7-for-19) with 4 RBI, 3 runs, 2 home runs and 1 walk over the five-game stretch. Since joining the Sounds on May 21, it's the second five-game hitting streak for Laureano who also hit safely in five straight June 10-15.

July Heat: Aside from Laureano, several Sounds hitters are off to solid starts in the month of July. The team is hitting .289 (46-for-159) but has scored just 21 runs. In the five games, Nashville is hitting .267 (8-for-30) with runners in scoring position. Laureano, Brett Vertigan (.571), Bruce Maxwell (.375), Jake Smolinski (.333), Nick Martini (.316) and Steve Lombardozzi (.313) are all above .300 in the month of July.

Ain't No Bull: Nashville's bullpen is off to a stellar start in July. Through the first five games, Sounds relievers have posted a 0.68 ERA (13.1 IP/1 ER). Nine relievers have combined to walk just one batters and strike out 20. Nashville starters have posted a 6.66 ERA (25.2 IP/19 ER) in July with eight walks and 17 strikeouts.
