
Renegades Lose Delaware Debut

WILMINGTON, DE - The Hudson Valley Renegades made their first visit to Wilmington, DE to face the Blue Rocks on Tuesday night. The result was not to their liking as the Rocks won, 4-1.
The Gades opened the scoring as Oswald Peraza brought home Frederick Cuevas on a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. The Blue Rocks scored three times in the bottom of the frame with a Gilbert Lara run-scoring triple serving as the highlight.
Starter Jhony Brito allowed three unearned runs in five innings of work to take the loss. The righty gave up two hits while walking one and striking out five. Zach Brzykcy earned the win for the Blue Rocks and improves to 2-0. Matt Cronin picked up his second save.
The loss ends a three-game winning steak for the Renegades as they dropped to 13-11. Wilmington stepped up over .500 at 13-12.
The series continues to tomorrow night at Frawley Stadium at 7:05 p.m.
