Renegades Fall to Cyclones in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY - The Brooklyn Cyclones defeated the Hudson Valley Renegades Friday night, 4-1, at Maimonides Park.

Brooklyn's pitching, led by Josh Walker, held the Gades to just four hits and two walks. Walker got the win to improve to 3-0. Josh Maciejewski got the start for Hudson Valley and allowed two earned runs on two hits to take the loss. He falls to 2-1 on the season. Overall, the Renegades allowed just six hits.

The Gades opened the scoring in the first on a walk to Oswald Peraza and a one-out single by Josh Breaux that scored Peraza. Brooklyn answered with three in the bottom of the inning and tacked on one more in the fifth to close out the scoring.

The teams continue their six-game series tomorrow at 4 p.m. on Coney Island. Hudson Valley returns to Dutchess Stadium next Tuesday to take on the Jersey Shore BlueClaws.
