Reign To Open 2009-10 Season On The Road This Friday

The wait is over...Hockey is Back! The Ontario Reign will open their 2009-10 season on Friday, October 16. The team is traveling to Bakersfield for a two-game road series against the Condors on Friday and Saturday evening.

The Reign will host the Las Vegas Wranglers and the Bakersfield Condors for opening weekend at the Citizens Business Bank Arena starting on Friday, October 30. Fans in attendance will receive glow Thunderstix sponsored by RanchoHomefinder.com and magnet schedules sponsored by the Holiday Inn Ontario Airport (while supplies last). The Reign will also be unveiling their third mascot, and fans have the opportunity to name the jester! (The contest ends Wednesday, October 28, so check out OntarioReign.com for more details)! The puck drops on the 30th at 7:30 p.m., so don't miss the action as the Reign battle the Las Vegas Wranglers!

Saturday, October 31 is "Go Green on Halloween" Night sponsored by the Frontier Project! The night will feature an Eco Village, where fans can learn tips about how to "Go Green" at home or at work. Players will take the ice against the Bakersfield Condors at 7:00 p.m. in special edition green jerseys that will be auctioned off at the end of the match with proceeds benefitting the Frontier Project. All kids 15-and-under are invited to participate in a costume contest and trick-or-treating throughout the concourse.

The Reign will close out their three-game home series on Sunday, November 1 with another match-up against the Wranglers at 5 p.m. Families can enjoy a special "4 for $44" offer of four upper level tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for only $44! Tonight's match is also the first Jr. Reign Kid's Club game, so we hope to see everyone there!
