Condors Open Regular Season on Friday with Anaheim Ducks Power

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, begin the regular season on the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena this weekend for a two-game series against the Ontario Reign. The Condors host games on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. both nights.
Opening Night on Friday will be an event that should not be missed. Besides the Condors kicking off their quest for the 2010 Kelly Cup, a whole slew of guests and activities will take place before and during the game. The Condors are proud to be affiliated with the Ducks, who in turn are showing their support on Friday. Ducks Power Players (ice girls) and their mascot Wild Wing (pictured, right) will be entertaining fans on the plaza, beginning at 5 p.m. until the game begins. Condors and Ducks inflatables will be set up on the plaza for the kids to enjoy. Plus, the Ducks Prize Wheel will be on hand for your chance to win some cool NHL stuff. Plus, all fans attending Friday's game will receive a Condors Magnetic Schedule, courtesy of ESPN Radio 1230 and American Business Machines.
Throughout the game, the Power Players and Wild Wing will be at the Condors Photo Booth, located on the concourse behind section 112. During the first intermission, the Dragons youth hockey team will take part in an intra-squad mini game. The second intermission will feature the Ducks Power Player Girls, who will be shooting t-shirts into the crowd with the Jersey Mike's Sub Gun. The Barber Honda and Bakersfield Californian Chuck-A-Puck also returns for every home game this season.
On Saturday, the first 2,000 kids 12 and under will receive a special Paint Your Own Bobblehead of Baby Cal, complete with a paintbrush and paint, presented by KERO 23 and Barber Honda. Saturday will also feature the World's Fastest Golfer David "Ogie" Ogron during the first intermission. He will attempt to break the world record for most balls hit in the span of 30 seconds.
Following each game, Condors players will be at the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108. Andrew Ianiero and Raymond Eichenlaub will be at the booth on Friday, while Bobby Bolt and Eric Regan will be there on Saturday. The players will arrive at the booth approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game to meet fans and sign autographs.

Saturday's game will be televised live on Bright House Networks Channel 21. All televised games will be available on Bakersfield On Demand Cable Channel 300 the following day.

Tickets for Friday and Saturday's game are currently on sale, starting at just $7. The Rabobank Arena Box Office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
Season Ticket and mini-plans, starting at just $42, are on sale now. Fans can make Condors season tickets even more affordable by using Extended AutoPay, which is a program that allows you to spread your payments out through February, 2010.
