ANCHORAGE, Ala.- The Ontario Reign (13-11-1-1), proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, were beaten 6-3 by the Alaska Aces (20-5-1-1) before 3,946 at Sullivan Arena Sunday night.
Alaska took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Garry Nunn at 7:18 of the first period and extended the lead to 4-0 in the second on goals by Brian Swanson, Wes Goldie, and Dan Kissel. Chris Carrozzi took over for Jean-Francois Berube between the pipes after Alaska's fourth goal.
Francois Brisebois got the Reign's first goal at 14:30 of the second period on the power play and Bill Bagron batted a puck out of midair to cut the Aces' lead to 4-2 at 6:10 of the third.
