LOVELAND, CO - The Ontario Reign (36-17-2-3), back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, defeated the Colorado Eagles (28-18-6-4) 4-1 with the help of two empty-net goals on Saturday night.

Kevin Ulanski and Riley Nelson worked together to get the first goal of the game; scored by Ulanski. The goal came at 2:53 off the Eagles first shot. Steven Tarasuk recorded his first Reign goal of the season at 12:41. Brett Beebe collected an Eagles turnover and moved the puck out to Chris Crane before Tarasuk got his stick on it and wristed it past an outstretched Marc Cheverie to tie the game.

Maxim Kitsyn scored for the Reign at 13:34 with a beautiful wrister from the right circle. Matt White and Matt Register both earned the helpers on the go-ahead goal.

In the final moments of the third period, the Eagle pulled Cheverie for an extra attacker. Sebastian Stalberg got his stick on the puck and sent it toward the open cage to put the Reign up 3-1. The Eagles kept their net open, but Everett Sheen tacked on another goal with Ontario's second empty-netter of the night for a final score of 4-1.

Olkinuora earned the win with 25 saves; Cheverie took the loss with 25 saves.
