ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Sean Curry logged a goal, assist and a fight and three power play goals lifted the Alaska Aces (37-16-4, 78 points) to a 4-2 victory over the Bakersfield Condors before 4,252 fans at Sullivan Arena on Saturday.

Curry's "Gordie Howe Hat Trick," combined with special teams efficiency lifted the Aces to a 5-1-0 record against the Condors in the head-to-head series while Peter Sivak finished

Bakersfield with a shorthanded goal, with 29 seconds left in regulation.

Alex Kangas earned his second straight win with 22 saves.

Greg Miller scored on the first shot of the game at 1:21 on a giveaway in the slot, but Curry answered with a power play goal at 4:45 with a wrist shot from the center point spot.

Brendan Connolly's first of two goals, both on the power play, gave the Aces their first lead of the game at 8:24 of the second period when he stashed a rebound at the goal mouth, following Chet Pickard's stop on a Sivak one-timer at the right circle.

Michael Neal answered at 5:42 of the third period on a power play, with a rebound at the net to tie the game. Connolly answered for a 3-2 for the Aces third power play goal of the night, when he tucked a backhander past a sprawling Pickard.

Following a sequence of penalties late in regulation, including a five-minute major handed to Chris Collins for his hit on Connolly at the team benches, the Aces exited the zone at the right time while Bakersfield went on a power play. Sivak danced into the slot, from the right wing, and fired his 24th goal of the season past Pickard for the Aces' 11th shorthanded goal of the year and 4-2 lead.

Pickard took the loss with 23 stops.
