ONTARIO, Calif.- The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, announced the signing of defenseman Alan Mazur.

Mazur, 26, returns to North America after playing 39 games for the Dundee Stars of the United Kingdom's Elite Ice Hockey League where he recorded 14 points (7g, 7a) and 68 penalty minutes.

Mazur played under coach Jason Christie while with the Central Hockey League's Bloomington Prairie Thunder in 2010-11. The blueliner notched 32 points (6g, 26a) and 91 penalty minutes in 65 games and was named to the CHL All-Rookie Team after finishing the season sixth in rookie scoring. He was fourth overall in team assists and led the defense in goals, assists and points.

The Burnaby, British Columbia native collected 98 points (27g, 71a) and 194 penalty minutes in four years of NCAA hockey with the Rochester Institute of Technology. Mazur capped his Tigers career with a trip to the NCAA Frozen Four in the 2009-10 season.

From 2003 to 2006, Mazur recorded 151 points (34g, 117a) and 296 penalty minutes in three seasons of BCHL junior hockey split between the Coquitlam Express and Merritt Centennials.
