Reid Gardiner Added to Team WHL Roster for Canada-Russia Series

Prince Albert, SK - The Prince Albert Raiders would like to congratulate forward Reid Gardiner who was added on Thursday to Team WHL's roster for the 2015 CHL Canada Russia Series.

Now in his fourth season with the Raiders, Gardiner has had a fantastic start to the 2015-16 campaign and is tied for first in league scoring. The Humboldt, SK product has played in 14 games, compiling 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points and was named the WHL Player of the Week from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4.

The five-foot-eleven, 195-pound winger has participated in National Hockey League camps each of the past two years with the Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks. In 205 career WHL games, Gardiner has recorded 73 goals and 79 assists for 152 points.

Gardiner will be joined on Team WHL by Raiders defenceman Brendan Guhle.

Team WHL will face Team Russia in Game 1 of the 2015 Canada Russia Series in Kelowna, BC on Monday, November 9th and will continue the series on Tuesday, November 10th with Game 2 in Kamloops, BC.

The Prince Albert Raiders return to the ice on Friday, October 30 when they host the Victoria Royals in the first of back-to-back games at the Art Hauser Centre this weekend. For ticket information, visit raiderhockey.com or call 764-GAME.
