Today's Game: The RedHawks continue their eight-game road trip and open a four-game series against Tucson at 9:05 p.m. central time. Tonight will be the first meeting between these teams since May 15, 2012.

Last Game: The Las Vegas 51s overcame a three-run deficit and scored the game's final four runs in 4-3 defeat of the RedHawks Sunday at Cashman Field. Oklahoma City scored three runs in the fourth to break a scoreless tie. Brandon Laird hit a RBI groundout, and Jon Singleton and Jose Martinez each collected RBI doubles to make it 3-0. Las Vegas scored twice in the bottom of the fourth, and the 51s plated two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Eric Campbell lifted a sac fly to center field to tie the game, and Matt den Dekker put the 51s in the lead with an RBI single. Las Vegas starting pitcher Chris Schwinden (6-9) went six innings and did not allow a run or a hit outside of the three-run, four-hit fourth. He struck out four and walked one. Making his RedHawks and Triple-A debut, pitcher David Martinez (0-1), who was 14-2 with a 2.02 ERA with Double-A Corpus Christi, allowed four runs and seven hits over 4.1 innings. He struck out three and walked a season-high five.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Paul Clemens makes his third start since returning to the RedHawks in late July...Clemens picked up the win in his last start Aug. 6 against Colorado Springs. He threw five scoreless innings, allowing two hits. He retired 15 of the 17 hitters he faced, including 12 straight at one point. Clemens was limited to 69 pitches as he builds back up to a starter's workload...In his two starts since returning to the RedHawks, Clemens has tossed eight scoreless innings...Clemens spent most of the season as a reliever with the Astros, making 30 appearances with a 4-4 record and a 6.36 ERA. He endured a rough month in July, allowing 13 runs and 15 hits over 6.2 IP and was optioned to Oklahoma City July 29...After starting the year with the RedHawks, Clemens made his Major League debut on April 9 in Seattle and earned the win after throwing four innings of relief...Clemens started 20 games for the RedHawks in 2012, going 8-8 with a 6.73 ERA. He led the team in both wins and innings (101.2 IP)...He last pitched against Tucson May 12, 2012 in OKC, holding the Padres scoreless through seven innings. He allowed three singles, struck out six, and retired the final 15 batters he faced.

Oklahoma City has won each of the last five meetings, as well as seven of the teams' eight total meetings...Five of the last six games have been decided by one run, including three of four during last year's series -- a RedHawks sweep...Oklahoma City hit .319 as a team against Tucson last season and claimed back-to-back walk-off wins on May 13-14. They averaged about six runs per game and hit seven home runs...The RedHawks won three of four games during their only previous series at Kino Stadium, Aug. 7-10, 2011. Tucson's lone victory against Oklahoma City came Aug. 9, 2011 in an 8-7 win.

Las Vegas Lull: The RedHawks hit .322 as a team during their 12-game winning streak July 26-Aug. 6 in Oklahoma City, but the RedHawks batted just .175 over their last four games in Las Vegas, going 1-3. They scored in just six of 36 innings at Cashman Field, and in three of their games scored in only one inning. They have lost back-to-back games for the first time since dropping a pair on July 23 in Omaha (led both games in the final inning).

As the Crowe Flies: Trevor Crowe is batting .462 (18x39) with three RBI during a 10-game hitting streak and now is hitting .388 (19x49) over 13 games since rejoining the team. Crowe also had a team-best 15-game hitting streak, April 6-21. He and Jimmy Paredes are the only two RedHawks this season two have two hitting streaks of at least 10 games...The RedHawks are 19-4 when Crowe leads off this season.

Hip Hip, Jose: Jose Martinez is 10-for-19 with seven RBI over his last six games. He has reached base safely in 12 of his last 20 plate appearances, and he is hitting .351 in August.

30/30 Vision: George Springer is currently tied with Andrew Lambo of the Indianapolis Indians for the overall Minor League home run lead with 31 dingers. On Friday, Springer became the first player in the Minors to hit 30 home runs and steal at least 30 bases since former Oakland Athletics farmhand Grant Desme did so in 2009 (31 HR/40 SB). Springer currently has 38 stolen bases (15 with OKC and 23 with Corpus Christi).

Glove Connection: The RedHawks have not committed an error in five straight games and have committed just one error over their past nine contests. Their .980 fielding percentage is tied for second in the PCL.

RISPy Business: Over the first 11 games of their recent 12-game winning streak, the RedHawks batted .349 (38x109) with runners in scoring position. Over the past five games they have combined to go just 5-for-37 (.135), and have only had four runners reach scoring position over the past two games.

Dinger Details: The RedHawks were held without a homer last night, snapping a streak of four straight games with at least one dinger. They have yet to homer in five straight this season...The pitching staff also did not allow a homer for the first time in five games.

Tucson Ties: RedHawks pitching coach Steve Webber spent the past two seasons as Tucson's pitching coach, and pitcher Wade LeBlanc spent a good part of the 2011 season playing for Tucson as well. Also, three current RedHawks played their college baseball in Tucson at the Unviersity of Arizona: outfielder Trevor Crowe and pitchers Eric Berger and Jason Stoffel.
