Today's Game: The RedHawks play the Iowa Cubs at 7:05 tonight for the second meeting of a five-game series in Des Moines. The teams will play a total of five games in four days to make up for an earlier postponement.

Last Game: The Iowa Cubs took an early four-run lead against the RedHawks and skirted several late offensive threats for a 5-4 win at Principal Park. Following a 55-minute rain delay, Jonathan Villar hit a home run on the second pitch of the game to give OKC the early lead. Iowa quickly answered in the bottom of the inning, scoring four runs with two outs and extended their lead to 5-1 after a home run by Josh Vitters in the third inning. The RedHawks scored twice in the sixth and once in the seventh to pull within one. They had the tying run at third with less than two outs in both the seventh and eighth innings, but the I-Cubs bullpen bore down kept their team in front. Oklahoma City starting pitcher Brad Peacock (1-2) threw 34 pitches in the first inning but battled and tossed 5.2 innings, retiring 15 of the final 17 hitters he faced. Peacock finished with eight strikeouts.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Asher Wojciechowski returns to the mound for Oklahoma City after suffering his first loss in a RedHawks uniform Monday at Fresno. Wojciechowski (1-1) gave up eight runs, matching his season total. In five innings, he allowed a season-high 10 hits, including three homers. Prior to the third inning, Wojciechowski had allowed just one home run over his previous 135.2 innings pitched...Monday was a surprising turn after Wojciechowski allowed just two runs and 11 hits in 15.2 innings with the RedHawks since his promotion to Triple-A earlier this month...Prior to joining the RedHawks, Wojciechowski was 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA in six games for Corpus Christi...Over both levels, opponents are hitting just .221 overall and .118 with runners in scoring position (.130 in the PCL).

Iowa has already matched its home win total from 2012 against the RedHawks...The I-Cubs took two of three in a shortened series earlier this month due to inclement weather. The teams split a doubleheader before Iowa won the finale...It was the first series the Cubs had taken from the RedHawks since July 14-17, 2011, as Iowa had not won any of its previous six series against the RedHawks...The RedHawks were held to just seven runs over the those three games...Former RedHawk Brian Bogusevic is 6-for-12 and reached base in 10 of 16 plate appearances...Josh Vitters is 7-for-18 with three home runs. That Was Fast: Jonathan Villar's leadoff home run was the first by a RedHawk since July 24, 2012. In a game that was also against Iowa, Jimmy Paredes connected on a homer off Rodrigo Lopez in the bottom of the first inning. Jake Elmore drew three of them, becoming the third RedHawk this season to accomplish that feat. Marc Krauss also walked twice to add to his team-leading total of 28. They are tied for third in the league with 191 walks but boast the second-best walk-to-strikeout ratio (0.59).
