Today's Game: The RedHawks play their first home day game, still seeking their first victory at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark when they take on the Memphis Redbirds at 2:05 p.m.

Last Game: For the second-straight night, Memphis took a large, early lead that was too much for the RedHawks to come back from, as the Redbirds held on for an 8-7 win. Memphis scored eight runs between the second and third innings, including a grand slam by Justin Christian to make it 8-1. The RedHawks pulled within 8-4 heading to the eighth before adding three more runs, including a two-run homer by Marc Krauss. With two outs in the ninth, the RedHawks put runners on first and second, but Victor Marte (SV, 1) struck out Brandon Laird to end the game.

Today's Probable Pitchers: Jordan Lyles heads back to the mound coming off his first win of the season...On Tuesday in Nashville, Lyles followed Ross Seaton, and although he was credited with a blown save, he ended up earning the win after allowing two runs (one earned) and five hits over 3.2 innings...Lyles has been terrific at getting ground ball outs so far this season, coaxing 16 of them through his first eight innings...Memphis handed Lyles a loss in the first game of the season April 5 at AutoZone Park...He pitched better than his line indicated, allowing four runs and three hits over 4.1 innings...Lyles is now 2-1 with a 2.96 ERA in five career matchups against the Redbirds.

Ross Seaton will follow Lyles...After beginning the year with Double-A Corpus Christi, Seaton was summoned to the RedHawks and had a nice start Tuesday in Nashville...He allowed one run and six hits over five innings, with the run coming across on a solo homer...Seaton struck out four without a walk and 47 of his 60 pitches were strikes...Although he left with a 3-1 lead, Seaton would not factor in the decision...In each of his last four starts with the RedHawks, Seaton has allowed one earned run and posted a 1.52 ERA, but has no wins to show for it...He has received 10 runs of support over those four starts and left with the lead three times...Today will mark his first career relief appearance, as all 114 games in his career have been starts.

Against the Redbirds: 2013: 3-3 2012: 8-8 All-time: 128-118 In OKC: 75-46

After getting shutout in season opener, the RedHawks took the next three from Memphis in last weekend's series...Both teams have had it going at the plate, with each hitting over .300 through five games (OKC .315; MEM .305)...Jimmy Paredes is 11-for-23. He hit .361 against the Redbirds last season...Brock Peterson has connected on two homers and driven in eight runs...Ryan Jackson is 6 for his first 8 with two walks. He drove in 16 runs in 16 games against the RedHawks last season...OKC has not won the season series against Memphis since 2007.

First Time For Everything: For the first time in the 16-year history of the RedHawks and Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the RedHawks have lost their first two home games of the season.

Jake Takes the Cake: Jake Elmore has recorded 16 hits over the last six games, including a pair of game with at least four hits. Elmore has hit safely in each of the last eight games (.514, 18x35), and his .486 average currently ranks second in the league. He is 11-for-16 in his last three games against Memphis. Last season Elmore recorded a PCL-best 31-game hitting streak and 46-game on-base streak while playing with Reno.

Fernando's Hideaway: Astros outfielder Fernando Martinez returns to Oklahoma City to begin a rehab assignment today. Martinez has yet to play in a game this season due to a strained left oblique (placed on DL Mar. 27). Last season with the RedHawks, Martinez was a staple of the middle of the lineup, hitting .314 with 13 homers and 62 RBI over 90 games. He was particularly effective against Memphis, cranking five homers and driving in 18 runs over 15 games.

On the Marc: Last night Marc Krauss homered for the second-straight game and now leads the team with three dingers. It's the first time he's homered in consecutive games since going deep in three in a row with Double-A Corpus Christi Jul. 31-Aug. 2, 2012. Krauss did not homer in 57 at-bats with the RedHawks last season.

New Crowe Medicine Show: After going hitless in the first two games of the season, Trevor Crowe has hit safely in each of the last seven games (.300, 9x30). Going back to last season while playing for Salt Lake, Crowe has reached base safely in 31 consecutive games in the PCL. The current streak started against the RedHawks on Aug. 7.

First Not Always the Best: Last night, for the first time during a RedHawks game this season, the team that scored first did not win.

Yard Work: The RedHawks have allowed home runs in four straight games for the first time since a six-straight stretch, Aug. 5-11, 2012. Justin Chrisitan's grand slam last night was the first one allowed by the RedHawks since Jul. 31, 2012 (Tony Abreu, Omaha).

Full of Up-Zeid: Reliever Josh Zeid has gotten off to a strong start during his initial sojourn in Triple-A. Over his first three appearances, Zeid has struck out seven of 11 batters he's faced and thrown three scoreless and hitless innings.

Running Into Trouble: Through the first nine games, the RedHawks have had six base runners picked off and seven others caught stealing. They are 6-for-14 in stolen base attempts.
