COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Burlington jumped out to a 4-0 lead on the way to its eleventh consecutive victory, 5-1 over West Michigan.
The loss ends an eight game home winning streak for the Whitecaps.
Eddie Solis put the Bees on top, 2-0 in the second with his sixth home run of the year. The two run shot started a string of three straight innings of Burlington scoring.
An RBI single by Rusty Brown made it 3-0 in the third then Darwinson Salazar drove in a run on a ground ball in the fourth for a 4-0 advantage.
The Whitecaps only run came in the sixth when Jeff Frazier delivered an RBI single and cut the lead to 4-1.
Brian McFall drove in the final Burlington run in the eighth with a base hit.
Josh Kauten pitched the first four innings for the Whitecaps, allowed four runs and took the loss.
Kevin Ardoin followed with three hitless shutout innings of relief for West Michigan
Patrick Green threw seven innings as the starter for the Bees. Nick McIntyre went 3-for-4 for the Whitecaps.
