Burlington Bees News Release
Burlington, IA (July 25, 2005) - The Kansas City Royals and Burlington Bees announce a pair of roster moves. C Robert Grana has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to Friday, July 21st. Grana has a broken bone in his right wrist and will be lost for the season. RHP Patrick Hicklen has been promoted to Double-A Wichita in the Texas League. Hicklen is scheduled to make one spot start and return to the Bees on Friday. That means Hicklen will miss his scheduled start for the Bees on Wednesday. The game will be covered as a bullpen day with the starting pitcher to be announced.
The Bees leave for a four-game road trip at West Michigan today with a ten-game winning streak and an active roster of 22 players. RH Patrick Green will start for the Bees in game one of the series tonight at 6:00 Central time. The game will be broadcast live on KBUR AM 1490 and KBKB AM 1360 with the pre-game show starting at 5:40.
The Bees return home to start a four-game series with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Friday night. Friday is Burlington/West Burlington Chamber Night with post-game fireworks sponsored by the Burlington Area Convention & Tourism Bureau.
