
Red Deer Rebels Make Staff Changes

RED DEER, AB â The Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club announced today they have hired former Rebels captain Jesse Wallin as an Assistant Coach. Wallin was an assistant coach with the Red Deer âAAA' Bantam Rebels last season, following a professional career that began in 1998-99.
Jesse Wallin played four seasons with the Rebels from 1994 to 1998 and was a first round selection of the Detroit Red Wings in 1996. He also was part of Team Canada at the World Junior Championships in 1997 and 1998, winning gold in 1997.
The Rebels also announced today that the contracts of Assistant Coach Dallas Gaume and Trainer Dave âRadar' Horning have been extended.
The contract of Goaltending Coach Cam Ondrik will not be renewed. Ondrik had been with the Rebels for four seasons. The position of goaltending coach/consultant will be filled at a later date.
Additionally, the Rebels have added Terence Robertson as a full time Athletic Therapist. Robertson worked with the Rebels on a part time basis last season. The Rebels have also added Garrett Zimmerman in Marketing and Sales. Zimmerman had previously worked with the Swift Current Broncos in public relations and is originally from Red Deer.
Director of Marketing Dean Williams will be resigning effective June 17th.
