
Red Claws to Sponsor of HS Hoops Holiday Classic

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that they have become the presenting sponsor of the 25th Annual Holiday High School Hoops Classic, Presented by the Maine Red Claws after the annual Maine holiday tradition lost its previous sponsorship.
The basketball showcase will be played from December 27-30 at Portland Exposition Building, the home of the Maine Red Claws, and will feature 16 varsity boys high school teams.
"The state of Maine has a tremendous history of high school basketball. In fact, the strength of that history was one of the main factors behind bringing the Red Claws to Maine," said Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings. "For a quarter of a century, this tournament has been a showcase of some of the best high school basketball Maine has to offer, and we are proud to be a part of its 25th anniversary and to see it continue for many years to come."
Fourteen high school teams from Maine and two from New York will participate in the showcase: Cape Elizabeth, Cheverus, Deering, Falmouth, Gorham, Greely, Lake Region, Mountain Valley, Portland, Scarborough, South Portland, Susan Wagner (NY), Transit Tech (NY), Westbrook, Windham, and Yarmouth.
