Austin Toros Offer Free Tickets

Austin, TX Dec. 21, 2010 - The Austin Toros announced during the half-time break of their Sunday night game against the Reno Bighorns that they will partner with Farmers Insurance to wrap-up their Season of Giving efforts by offering fans free tickets to the December 30 game at Cedar Park Center. Tip-off is 7:30p.m. against the Tulsa 66ers. Fans were able to pick up their free tickets at the Cedar Park Center box office before the game ended. By Monday afternoon, most of the available tickets were distributed to over 5,000 fans. The last opportunity to take advantage of the ticket giveaway happens early next week when ESPN Austin, Mix 94.7 and Majic 95.5 will offer the remaining tickets to listeners. Parking fees at Cedar Park Center still apply.

The Austin Toros have been spreading holiday cheer at each December home game in conjunction with the NBA Development League's Season of Giving initiative to give back to the community during the holiday season. The team's efforts included adopting a family, and sponsoring toy and blood drives. Fans receiving free tickets are asked to give a donation to Ronald McDonald Charities at the game on December 30 to support the needs of the Central Texas Ronald McDonald House.

"Our fans and the community give so much of their time and energy to the Toros throughout the season," said Peter Lubell, Toros Chief Operating Officer. "This is our chance to give something back to them and say thank you for your support.
